Tim Stamps built his foundation in surfboard craftsmanship in Seal Beach, CA. Starting as a ‘shop kid’ sweeping the floors at Harbour Surfboards. Tim spent years absorbing every phase of production under the legendary hands of Rich Harbour, before picking up the planer. This turned his passion into a lifelong commitment of custom board shaping and design. Stamps Surfboards operates as an independent, hands-on shop that seamlessly bridges traditional hand-shaping discipline with modern CAD design and precision. Building boards for some of the best surfers on the planet, as well as the recreational surfer, and everything in between. He crafts everything from high-performance shortboards, mid-lengths, fish, to traditional longboards. Focusing on how water and design interact to deliver uncompromising quality for everyday surfers and world-class athletes alike.

Tim still finish-shapes every board, and uses computer technology to preserve what he’s already learned. Spending plenty of time in the water and listening closely to the feedback of those riding his boards. Every session and every conversation is another opportunity to learn what worked, what he can refine, and what he’ll carry into the next one.
