SPEARFISH

The SpearFish takes outline cues from the theory applied to the Banjo Fish. Its origins start from the ever popular GrinderX model. The most dramatic part of this board is the outline. From the widepoint to the hip, is a very straightened out curve. After the hip point the tail has an accentuated curve into the tail block.  This straightens out the outline and reduces surface area between the feet and adds curve behind the rear foot. This makes for a responsive rail to rail transitions and a shorter turning radius with the narrowed up tail block. The nose outline is slightly fuller to compensate for the area lost in the tail section. To reduce pressure and add some speed and bite i've added a short channel that runs off the tail from about 7" up.  It has a similar moderate rocker and single concave running through with a double concave inster between the fins as the GrinderX, but  I added a bit of vee off the tail to add a bit of rail rocker.
